Dante Di Loreto is an American writer and producer. He is the executive producer of Glee, American Horror Story, and the anthology FOX show Scream Queens.

Early life[]

Di Loreto was raised in Santa Barbara, California and attended the University of California, Santa Barbara as an undergraduate in the 70's where he graduated with a B.A. He also holds an M.F.A. from the AFI Conservatory obtained in 1991.

Career[]

After attempting to break into Hollywood in the mid-80's as an actor, he moved to production in the early 90's. Pretty/Handsome,My Louisiana Sky, Temple Grandin and Die, Mommie, Die!, which was awarded the Sundance Film Festival’s Special Jury Prize, are some of his production credits.

Di Loreto partenered up with Ryan Murphy on a number of different projects, such as Glee and American Horror Story. Additionally, he has also worked on The New Normal and The Glee Project. As President of Ryan Murphy Television, he will also produce the upcoming horror-comedy anthology series Scream Queens. Di Loreto made his directorial debut with the Season Six episode og Glee, Transitioning. Di Loreto also serves as executive producer of the Glee albums and oversees music production in the series.

Di Loreto executive produced the HBO film, Temple Grandin, with Claire Danes, Julia Ormond, and Catherine O'Hara, which chronicled a young woman's struggle with autism. Temple Grandin was nominated for 15 Emmy Awards and won seven, including Outstanding Made-For-TV Movie. He also produced My Louisiana Sky for Showtime, starring Juliet Lewis and Kelsey Keel, which was nominated for 5 Emmy Awards.

Previously, Di Loreto supervised U.S theatrical operations for Bill Kenwright, Ltd., the U.K's largest production company. He co-produced the Broadway revival of The Glass Menagerie, starring Jessica Lange, Christian Slater, and Sarah Paulson, as well as Sir Antony Sher's Primo and Festen, starring Juliana Margulies and Ali McGraw.

Di Loreto is father of twin sons and resides in Los Angeles, California.
